I think the point you made about how easy it has become to create your own multimedia is very important. Once you start making your own multimedia, or, even better, having students make their own, the power of multimedia as an instructional tool really starts to shine through.
Having taken YouTube for Educators, I agree that creating multimedia for the classroom is becoming increasingly easier. Creating interesting multimedia presentations still takes a lot of work. Today, any teacher with basic equipment can create a video of how to solve a problem. While I can do the same thing in the classroom, having it on video allows me to roam the class and provide assistance and monitor behavior.
On a side note, you have an excellent voice for vlogs. I don't know how much you practiced it but, your presentation was smooth and natural.
